Most recently, he was a co-founder & CTO of a start-up ASP offering Operational Support Systems (OSS) capabilities to Telecommunications companies on a rental basis. After this company was recently acquired, he began independent consulting for executive corporate management on strategic IS & operational issues. Prior thereto, Michael spent 14 years at Eastman Kodak, initially as a senior analysis engineer in the precision manufacturing area, rapidly moving into operational management positions culminating in a key, executive leadership role. Tom J. is an innovative technology professional with over 25 years of experience as a consultant and manager improving organizational performance through the effective use of information technology in a wide range of business environments. He is a strong leader recognized for his vision, creativity, and analytical skills. For the past 6+ years, Tom has been with one of the Big 5 consulting firms as Director for the Content and Communications Division. In this capacity, Tom has been responsible for business and technology transformation and relationship management of multi-million dollar clients including development, staffing, profitability, delivery, and customer satisfaction. His areas of specialization include IT strategy, project and portfolio management, eBusiness process design and integration, architectural development, strategic systems development, diagnostic assessments and improvement plans, organizational change management and governance alignment. Jacqueline N. is a seasoned information technology (IT) professional with extensive experience implementing IT projects for large organizations. Currently Jacqui operates her own consulting practice, after working in IT consulting for PricewaterhouseCoopers, specializing in strategic IT planning and project management of high visibility/high dollar technical projects. She has worked with numerous prestigious higher education institutions, law firms, start-ups, manufacturing and insurance industry companies. Jacqui began her career as an officer in the United States Air Force and spent five years as a technical Project Manager. She first managed several RADAR and Counterintelligence network projects. She was then promoted to manage the base-wide computer/network upgrade (at the time, a transition from Banyan VINES to MS NT). Jacqui also designed and procured a $1 million test-bed facility for the new network. After leaving the Air Force as a Captain, Jacqui joined PwC as a Senior Consultant where she managed several technical upgrades and expansions for various clients, including higher education institutions, government offices and private firms. Jacqui has a MS in Information Systems from Northeastern University a BS in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University. Don L. offers more than 25 years of experience in IT, the last 15 in senior roles. He has worked for such companies as General Motors, T J Lipton, Baxter Healthcare and EDS. Don has experience in manufacturing, distribution, travel industry, financial services, sales of services, outsourcing, pharmaceuticals, consumer packaged goods, business process re-engineering and e-commerce. He is a seasoned information technology professional with experience, wisdom, judgment, business acumen and inquisitiveness in both domestic and overseas, small and large companies. His greatest ability is to be able to meld strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise. He has held senior positions in account management, data center operations, application development, networking and end-user support. He has led IT teams of up to 130 professionals. Don was most recently the CIO at Behlen Manufacturing where he championed more strategic use of technology. He successfully introduced and implemented new systems and business processes that supported and extended the business strategy to improve company performance. Don has a Masters of Computer Science from University of Manitoba, an MBA from the University of Western Ontario (London Canada), and is nearing completion of a Masters of Science in e-Commerce from Creighton University (Omaha). Norman H. offers more than 20 years of software development experience in full life cycle development and implementation of large-scale projects. Noted for outstanding management skills in recruiting, training, evaluating, and supervising up to 30+ programmers, analysts, consultants and managers. He possesses excellent communication skills, resulting in outstanding rapport with clients, employees, peers, and executive management. He has recent experience in restructuring IT organizations and process improvement to increase overall department efficiency. Currently he is the Director of Operations for PurchasePro.com where he is completing a restructuring assignment. He has been instrumental in his current position in trimming overall company burn rate from $35 million per quarter down to $13 million per quarter, while increasing the output of the department by a factor of four. During his seven years at Ingram Micro, he grew the Client Server and Internet Technologies department from one NT server to over 300 NT and Unix platforms. He integrated the legacy mainframe system seamlessly into these new technologies; first using PowerBuilder for client server development, and then switching to Java as interfaces became web enabled. He gained extensive knowledge of web development, procedures and tools during the dot com blitz at Nexgenix where he served two years as a Managing Director responsible for many successful commercial websites such as RedEnvelope.com, FilmsOn.com, BroadBandSports.com and MyOnlyCatalog.com. He developed these sites using such tools as BroadVision and Vignette. Norman has a BS in Computer science from the University of Maine. Bruce K. brings over 21 years in the high technology area of information technology and telecommunications, with a diverse background in sales/marketing, operations and manufacturing. The majority of his training and experience comes from his many years with Digital Equipment Corporation and BellSouth. Bruce has been involved with the full life cycle of product and services development from conception to delivery. Moreover, he is equally versed in the area of sales and business development cycles through customer delivery and support. The scope of Bruce’s capability spans the small start-up to Fortune 100 community. His particular strengths include identifying the people, process and tools necessary for a scalable and profitable environment with a focus on key factors in sales growth and profitability along with satisfaction and retention of customers and employees. Most recently, Bruce has held the role of Chief Operating Officer for a two-year-old Application Service Provider. He began his career in the computer industry for Honeywell and Digital Equipment Corporation. His early days as an engineer focused on problem solving and designing solutions. He discovered he had a passion for making others successful, which brought him into sales and customer care the past 11 years. During his tenure at BellSouth he was part of a start-up team for a new Managed Services Company co-funded by BellSouth and EDS. Also, while with Bellsouth Bruce lead a team that was responsible for some of their largest multi-national accounts. Bruce brings passion and success to a company based on a single principle that a leader should serve and not be served along with the framework of the Malcolm Baldrige Program for which he is a certified examiner for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Bruce has completed graduate studies at Northeastern University and University of Phoenix and has BS in Mechanical Engineering from Lowell Technological Institute in Massachusetts. Michael O. has more than 14 years of IT experience, increasingly leveraging his technical ability to direct the development of strategic systems for major clients in many industries. Most recently, Michael consulted as an interim CTO to startup ConentEnablers.com, helping secure funding, building an infrastructure, and acquiring an IT staff capable of maintaining and enhancing the corporate IT assets. Prior thereto, Michael spearheaded the development of a key order entry and processing system that helped upstart Nextlink Communications (now XO) attain aggressive sales goals. Michael has also consulted to Allen-Bradley Company, leading an effort to merge the engineering systems and processes in use at acquired companies with those at headquarters; SABRE on improving their heralded but cryptic reservation system, resulting in Travelocity’s launch incorporating several usability suggestions to allow the general public to more easily shop for travel; and Nationwide insurance, where he ed a major project to streamline life insurance underwriting at Nationwide, cutting costs and reducing cycle time. He has a BS in Computer science with Honors from the University of Minnesota, Institute of Technology. Jeff H. offers more than 15 years of experience in key operational areas, including Business Process Optimization, Business Project Management, Software Solution implementations and Supply Chain Initiatives. Well versed in the business and personnel dynamics inherent in situations ranging from rapid growth to M&A to downsizing, he has successfully counseled senior management and executed against those recommendations. During his five years with APBiotech, he was the Director of Materials and led the integration of 3 business units to one. He also lead the implementation project for ERP solutions and for 3 years provided consulting for the Global Development Group that focused on assessment of potential merger/acquisition activities. Before that he directed new business processes for manufacturing and supply chain/material management using best-in-class processes and implementation of ERP systems using brown/white paper model. Most recently he has worked with several companies counseling upper management relative to supply chain solutions and software implementations and training. Jeff has been an advisor to SCOR (professional Supply Chain Organization) and given many lectures and seminars on material management and supply chain theory. He has a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Rand K. is a seasoned technologist with expertise in strategic business development and international enterprise application infrastructures. Rand offers more than 15 years of experience in key industry areas, including Investment Banking, Utilities, Finance, Telecommunication, Retail, Education, Service and Manufacturing/Distribution industries. He has been in the Reporting and Application business for the last 6 years and has aided many Global 1000 companies. Rand has helped market, advise, and penetrate the OLAP driven reporting world with many different enterprise application software packages. During his 14 years of managing, he has successfully changed many cost centers into a highly profitable business. His track record of streamlining new and innovative concepts to maximize cost efficiency and increase day-to-day productivity carried the enterprise application software and architecture into the American, Germany, Mexican, London, and Brazilian markets. He has strategically developed and launched different training programs both in pre-sales and software support to tackle the competitive reporting application markets. His methods has educated many to understand the synergy of the OLAP, Enterprise, Managed Queries, Contact Management, Relation Management, Data Mining, Trend, and Statistical/Analytical reporting environments. This has proved to be both a resourceful and successful tactic and campaign, because the US, German, Brazilian, and Mexican industries have grown to accept enterprise reporting amongst one of the many important reporting tools in the corporate environment. Rand was one of the first to help architect and launch enterprise java applications to the Germany and the US financial environments. Rand has a BS in Business Administration and Management Information Systems from the California State University of Chico. Matt F. offers combines significant experience at both Big 5 and dot-com organizations in all aspects of software development, consulting, business development, and company growth situations. He is fully experienced with the system development life cycle and real-world application of project management theories. He has an in-depth understanding of what is required to develop quality software on time and on budget. Currently, Matt serves as Technology Advisor to a San Francisco non-profit and is an active member of Project JXTA, an Open Source Software development project sponsored by Sun Microsystems. Prior thereto, he successfully establish the Professional Services Team at a San Francisco based ASP, helping the organization with the complexities and best practices associated custom software delivery and helped close the first two clients. In addition, he was the seventh employee at a Silicon Valley start-up Internet consulting company that he helped grow to a seventy-person organization and was promoted to Director of Consulting reporting to the President/CTO and responsible for San Francisco operations. In his early Big 5 consulting days, he was part of the first project team developing a client server application at the Bank of Boston and has held various consulting positions at Coopers & Lybrand and at IBM Global Services (CGI Systems Inc.). Matt has a BS in Business Management from Cornell University. Peter M. is an accomplished executive whose 30 years of experience include global business operations, consulting management, and the development and deployment of information systems that enable corporations to increase customer loyalty and improve profitability. His accountabilities range from P/L responsibility for a tier one professional services firm to IT management of global 1000 manufacturer. He is widely recognized as an authority on business transformation and the application of information technologies to the manufacturing and supply-chain industries. Both Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial start-ups have benefited from his counsel, including: a team of consultants tasked with rescuing a runaway systems project for a $15 Billion electronics manufacturer on a $100+ million/500 person project which was restructured within 90 days to enable to the project to achieve a satisfactory completion within budgeted time and cost; a project for an auto parts manufacturer to re-profile its sales channels which involved selecting the ERP package best suited to support the project’s objectives and deploying the system within 18 months, resulting in 50% increase in revenues with no increase in labor or materials. Peter is certified by APICS, is a PMP candidate, and served on the adjunct faculty of Johns Hopkins University and Spring Garden College. He did Ph.D. work at the University of Pittsburgh, and was in the MBA program at Drexel University. He received his BS degree from Youngstown State University. Jim G. is the acting president and COO of TheInsuranceAdvisor.com (TIA), which is the evolution of the turnaround of an outsourcer/insurance carrier, American Security Group which was merged into a larger company which ultimately became TIA. Prior thereto, Jim has spent most of his career with Andersen Consulting/Accenture. His past 15 years have been focused on financial services companies’ accounting, systems and operations, including several large merger projects. His first 12 years were spent working with a wide variety of middle-market companies in the financial operations and systems arena. On more than a dozed occasions Jim has been asked to take over troubled financial services operations. He headed crisis management project teams which addressed interrelated financial, accounting, operations and systems issues. Jim has an MBA from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University and a BS in Engineering from Purdue University. Josh E. offers 15 years of experience in key operational areas, including technology and product development. Well versed in the innovation processes and business dynamics inherent in situations ranging from startup ventures to M&A to IPO’s, Josh has successfully built and sold 2 businesses. Currently, he is Chief Strategist for Advantrium, LLC where he is in charge of technology, development and M&A activities. Prior thereto, Josh founded and ran i-Titan Communications Networks, a manufacturer and designer of wireless broadband products. After that, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of DigiCon Technologies, a CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) based systems integration company. Before joining DigiCon, he spent five years with Faceted Information Systems, where he was the operations point-person while growing the three-person start-up firm into a $10 million, 30-person international systems integrator. Josh is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University and attended East Stroudsburg University. Bruno H. brings over ten years of experience in MIS, project-based consulting, operations, and data-center consolidation and management. With proficiency assembling and driving high-performance teams in rapid-growth, startup, and large-company settings, he brings an unusual blend of strong technical competency, business & process orientation, creative problem solving, and strategic thinking. While with Motorola, he delivered the design, implementation and support structure for a 3000-seat WABI installation. At Abbott Laboratories, Mr. Hall led Clinical Data Management out of chaos from a failed mainframe to client-server migration. While a Global Networking and Computing, he played instrumental role in modifying the company structure & culture and increasing sales from $5 to 10 million while staffing grew from 40 to over 100 people in one year. Mr. Hall has an Honors Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from McGill University. Karen S. offers more than 23 years of experience in the telecommunications industry in areas of retail, wholesale and DSL. Well versed in the business and technology dynamics inherent in situations ranging from process reengineering and system integration of new products and services, she has successfully counseled senior management and executed against those recommendations. During her tenure with Accenture, she was the point-person for business and operation changes, increasing DSL subscribers from 70,000 to 200,000 in 4 months and reclaiming network ports, saving BellSouth $175 M; while at USWest, she led the business and IT personnel in enhancements which streamlined circuit order-entry and mechanized Wholesale processes. Previously employed by BellAtlantic, she established a program management team for the newly formed Wholesale team implementing retail parity, process changes and system development, eventually leading to FCC approval in providing Long Distance in New York. Prior to this role, she designed, launched and managed a means to convert large business customers within the Customer Care unit from three weeks to 48 hours, meeting executive and stakeholder objectives and mechanized a Residential Service Center, increasing productivity by 200%. Karen has an MBA from New Hampshire College and a BS from Franklin Pierce College. |
